2012: Make a difference in the life of a loved one. Download the new, free 104-page book A Faithful Friend: How to Be a Friend to Someone with Cancer here.

Welcome! This website is for women of all ages who have not had reconstruction surgeries following cancer and cancer gene-related mastectom(y/ies). It may be due to not wanting more surgery, personal choice, or not being able to due to cancer treatments or side effects. Whatever the reason, Flattops is here to assure you that there are others like you! It's unknown how many women don't pursue reconstruction (although it's up to 84% of women), but while we may seem like we're in the minority, there are a lot of us out there. Why do we feel like there's no one else like us?

There seems to mostly be information online about plastic surgery, and--until now--nothing online for women who aren't interested in it. This site is meant to be an alternative to the wealth of resources that exist on plastic surgery. It's for women who have already explored the options and decided that they don't want reconstruction, as well as for ladies who have been living as "flattops" following cancer-related or prophylactic (cancer gene-related) surgery.

Stop by and stay for awhile. You're sure to make some new friends. Whether you're awaiting surgery or had it years ago, please join--to learn, to be a mentor to other women, or both. And if you've been here a while and like what you've experienced, please help spread the word about Flattops by printing and distributing this brochure.

Flattops has absolutely no connection to any company and does not accept advertising.
